Bio

I worked for several years as an auditor at Deloitte before earning my PhD in Accounting from the University of Missouri. I am now an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where I have historically taught financial statement auditing and recently designed a new data analytics course for accounting majors. My research is focused primarily on auditors and other information intermediaries in financial markets, and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed academic journals, such as Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Review of Accounting Studies, the Journal of Accounting Research, and AUDITING: A Journal of Practice and Theory. I sit on the editorial boards of The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and AUDITING: A Journal of Practice and Theory and have served as an ad-hoc reviewer for many journals including, among others, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, and Accounting Organizations and Society.
